February 23, 2025 at 11:56 amHello people,
There’s this thing. My sister was walking at around 7-8PM while the guy on bike came and snatched her phone.
While doing this, he fell down and the people nearby took the thief to Police station. My sister didn’t want to go nor file a complaint just to not create a mess out of it, but the police was reluctant and hence an FIR was made and they took her phone for the evidence.
It’s been 4 years of this, and now the police are calling back to back to my sister saying ‘she has to SUMMON’ in court to close this case. She’s been saying no to this, she doesn’t wanna appear in court and that they can keep her phone.
It’s been freaking 4 years, she has forgotten this nightmare long ago until now, and the police reached today at our old address, and one of the person informed us about this. How can she get out of this? She doesn’t wanna appear in court and that should be her choice. Is there something she can do about it? Because at this point, this is a harassment from the police and doing these things, that too after 4 years.
(And she never got her phone back or even a call back from the police in last 4years) -

February 24, 2025 at 3:13 amYes. Its just for UTR, she should go, even without a lawyer is fine, the only thing she will have to do is sign a statement stating I am satisfied with police work kindly close the case. That’s it. Nothing to be scared of and will take max 1 hour.

February 23, 2025 at 12:14 pmA lawyer can represent her. Please consult a lawyer. Anyways court is not such a bad place. It would be a nice experience. He would just ask, is this ur phone, did the accused snatch it.-

February 23, 2025 at 1:10 pmShe literally had to struggle back then, while they had her phone in hand. And now suddenly after 4 years, they are calling back to back to close this case. I’m sure it’s for their convenience. And they never returned her phone so she doesn’t even want to bother now.-

February 23, 2025 at 1:53 pmMake sure it’s a formal summon from court and you’ll probably need to be there a couple of hours as the system makes it way through. Make sure you tell people who expect a bribe (cops, court Munshi etc) to fuk off.You can tell the judge you are okay to forgive the thief. This was the court can close the case, else tareek pe tareek. The cops won’t care if you close as it’s closure for their FIR and it’s job over for them, and another win under their belt via a solved FIR
There will most probably be family from the thief’s side also for the hearing so you havr to be prepared for that
Source:trust me bro. I have gone through this drama when my laptop was stolen and I caught the thief and handed him to the police

February 23, 2025 at 8:18 pmShe isn’t scared. It’s just she had a bad time at the time it was happening and how police acted before. And for that she doesn’t even want to help them in this case at all now.
