I am a 16 year old teenager and got curious about what 18+ content such as porn really is and tried opening a few links on google but after I clicked a few I was hit with this REPORT FROM A ‘SELF-PROCLAIMED’ CYBER DEPARTMENT. PLEASE GUIDE ME IF IT’S REAL OR NOT , I AM NOT EVEN SURE IF WHAT I DID WAS CRIMINAL I ONLY TRIED TO OPEN A FEW 18+ LINKS THAT MY FRIENDS DO ALL THE TIME.

How am I supposed to confirm ? It says that if I don’t pay a fine of 31,000 rupees within 12 hours , all data will be destroyed on the computer and the whole data and information regarding the crime will be handed over to the agencies causing severe legal consequences.

Fake, it is a scam, on laptop use ublock origin ad blocker it will mostly prevent these scams. No need to pay anything. Just ignore and enjoy the content 😉.

Is there a way to confirm ?? The website that opened with the notification is telling me to pay 31,000 within 12 hours or else they will delete all the computer data and the crime information will be handed over to the government agencies causing fines and severe legal actions !!

It’s a scam. Maybe you clicked some link that was malicious otherwise nobody even cares unless you are on darknet hiring a sharpshooter or buying illegal things.

Just chill and be cautious while browsing the internet. Not all links are real. They can hack your computer and phone.

It’s a scam because such offences are not compoundable i.e. you cant pay to escape legal punishment. So if they are asking for money, it isn’t the gov. Cyber department but a scammer.

your parents can see the searches buddy if they want…..while paying the bill they may request the internet provider for bill/searches and they’ll have every search, that’s why there the warning in incognito that your searches are still visible to organisation and service provider….
