March 29, 2025 at 6:41 amI am 22. So, I went to this dental clinic because my office had given me a free coupon. And when I went to the clinic, the doctor had told me that my smile is a little asymmetrical, and that I would be needing braces. So I told her that I already had braces when I was 14 years – 17 years old, for 3 years. But that dentist didn’t keep braces for me in the bottom teeth back then. So this doctor was like that’s a huge mistake and now my upper teeth left half has gone inside and right half has not and that my teeth looks very unsymmetrical. She told me to go with Damon braces, which would take approximately 1 year to fix my teeth and that there was a 15% offer for that. So I got really insecure and paid the amount. So after 2 weeks, today she told me that I have an appointment. So I went there and there was another doctor. She asked me what I wanted as expectation at the end. I told her that apparently my smile is weird according to that doc, so she took pictures of me and told me that my teeth are slightly outwards and I need 2 extractions on upper teeth. And that’s not even the worst part, she told me that the treatment would take a minimum of 1.5 years-2 years. I know how much that is in dental language. And she told me that she’ll attach some 3 screws on my upper gum go pull my teeth and all. And apparently, I need to wear retainers for 2 years. And since it’s an extraction case she’s telling me that there’s a chance of relapse so I have to be really careful. I am terrified. I don’t think my teeth are that bad honestly, I feel like it looks okay. Anyways, I really want a refund because the words of the first doctor really really made me believe her. I am really not sure. Please help me. If there’s any dentist here, I’ll be happy to send u pictures of my teeth -

March 29, 2025 at 6:45 amThis is a trap to get money out of your pocket and worst part is your teeth and face has to pay for it.
Get the refund and live normally as earlier.-

March 29, 2025 at 6:55 amThey might do. See nowadays, they do care about patient(customer) ‘s experience. Any indication of negative review on Google Map/ Platform will do the trick.-

March 29, 2025 at 7:03 amWell, you should get in touch with an advocate who can draft and send a well structured legal notice on your behalf. The notice should demand a full refund and appropriate compensation for the misleading consultation and emotional distress caused. If they do not comply, you may consider filing a consumer complaint for deficiency in service and unfair trade practices. BTW you can also send a legal notice yourself as well:
