February 10, 2025 at 3:11 pmHi everyone,I’m facing a frustrating issue with my PNB account and hoping someone here might have faced something similar or can suggest a solution.
A while ago, I made a withdrawal from an SBI ATM using my PNB card. The money was deducted from my account, but I didn’t receive any cash from the ATM. I immediately contacted PNB customer care, and they assured me they would investigate the issue. However, despite their promise, I haven’t received any solid response.
They advised me to approach my home branch, which I did. I raised a complaint there, but again, no concrete resolution or follow-up. In my desperation, I even wrote a formal complaint requesting the CCTV footage from the ATM, but I’m still stuck with no progress.
Has anyone faced something similar? How did you manage to get it resolved? I’m really frustrated with the lack of support and any kind of solid response from the bank.
Would appreciate any advice or suggestions!
Thanks in advance!

February 10, 2025 at 3:53 pmYou should raise with SBI. It’s more logical than just following up with PNB, because
1. It happened with an SBI ATM – ATM has sent information to PNB stating money has been dispensed and that’s why you got account deducted. So, most probably SBI ATM is at fault here.2. SBI customer care is better than others. Write and escalate.
3. SBI have to say either they dispensed it, or not dispensed. If they claim to have dispensed, ask for cctv and follow up with them for money and compansation. Otherwise follow up with PNB Stating sbi has declared not dispensing it so revert my money.
Following both simultaneously will help you when you reach to RBI Ombudsman, as 1 month prerequisite and escalation both are covered at your end.
