        Hi Folks,
Is there any way by which I can take action against Policeman.
I was abused and slapped by a police man.
I was returning home when 2 police man stopped me and asked me to show my vehicle papers. I showed them all and then they said I have to pay a fine because I was rash driving. (There was no possibility of rash driving as there was traffic jam on roads.)
When I confronted them for issuing unnecessary challan, these egoistic police man slapped me and abused me.
I have no hope that the police will file a FIR against there own.
But want to take every possible action against the police brutality.

Do you have any evidence that they slapped you? Any video recording or witness?

              Unfortunately not!!๐Ÿ˜ญ
Otherwise I would have posted it on twitter.
There were some onlookers, but I was pretty much shaken up after the incident and didn’t remember who they were actually.
But I clearly remember the faces of those cops. They are mostly present at a road junction.

In that case unfortunately you can’t do much. Even if you complain to senior officials, accused will deny doing so and you don’t have evidence. Forget and move on. Next time, when dealing with cops take out your phone and start recording.

Do you even know the name and details of the police officer? Is there any way you can prove that they hit you and wrongly fined you? If not, then forget about it as you would only be inviting more trouble.

If you have a way to prove it, then make a complaint in writing to their SHO and ACP / DCP, and make sure to get acknowledgement for your complaint. Also, you can check if there is a district police complaints authority in your area and report the issue there.

I can get their details(since they are mostly present at a particular road junction), but I have no proof against them for the assault they did.๐Ÿ˜“
Having no proof, is making me feel so helpless.
I believe I have to forget this bad incident.
                    But thanks for your advice.

Which area ? To start with you can tag the local police head on twitter(X) and describe the incidence. At least it will put them in some fear.

Replicate the same incident since you know here the officer is put up. Piss him off verbally and get him to slap you. But, This time have a friend record it far away so that your audio isn’t recorded.

Then register a complaint with the district magistrate.

Go and meet the SP/SSP/Commissioner of the area and explain your ordeal. They are IPS levels officers and *some* of them still have some humanity left inside.
