CLast Sunday there was some feud between our family ( as I live in joint family whole lotta members) and neighbours ( they’re too a joint family not more members than our as in males) but suddenly they threw shallow pan or TASLA to us(which hit my mom as she was standing in our street) as pelting started they threw flowerpots, TASLA,buckets and marble cutting left outs (as there was a construction going over there in the street) then I made a call to 112 (cuz the opposite family members already went onto their roof to throw bricks at us ) and i told them that they are throwing objects on us then police came and brought 3 out of 4 members of opposite family who were involved in fight and 2 from our side plus 1 me I didn’t fought did nothing only made a call to 112 but they still brought me in when everybody from my family asked that why they’re taking me in they made a statement that I lied to them(police) and made a fake fall that there’s a stone pelting happening on our family (which is completely false I even have call recording in which I never mentioned the term stone pelting or PATHRAAV just told them that they are throwing multiple objects at us come and protect us) but they didn’t listened to anyone and still brought me in too my only mistake was I made a call to police to come and protect us is that really a crime? I never lied and didn’t made any false statement on call and even in person as well but still I was in that cell for like more than 2 hours but as we had some links made some few calls without giving any bribe or without any case or complaint we all were out at 11:40 PM and I was brought in at 09:15 PM One more thing I wanna know they took signatures of all people who were involved even mine when I was not even involved in the fight just made a call for safety of our family why did they took my signatures on that I guess it was kachha rajinama or something like that I didn’t even read that they just told me to sign it and go home freely after that why did they took my signature on that when I was not even involved in any fight? And why did they took me in why I didn’t made any fake call please anyone regarding this give me some knowledge so that in case this happens with me in future I’ll able to protect my myself and have some knowledge of laws like what rights do I have and what can I do that not

NThey’ll just ask you for money and let you go. I have had a similar experience. I called the police because a goon said he’ll kill my family. The police took both of us to the police station and kept us waiting for hours. Then they asked me for money saying I made a fake call. I paid and left.
MORAL: STAY AWAY FROM THE POLICE AT ALL COSTS.
