February 2, 2025 at 4:42 pmHi all,
So my brother was passing an area in Chennai in his two wheeler and a police stopped him for being on call and driving scooter. He asked whether he had to pay any fine amount and argued that “there are other two wheelers drivers who aren’t wearing any helmet at all so why aren’t you stopping them”. To that the police just said “you are talking too much” and took a photo of his drivers license and vehicle number. Why did they do that? Will it be a big problem? Will they try to frame him under false criminal charges like pending cases which needs to be closed, will they put it on him?
Please help

February 2, 2025 at 5:01 pmHow arrogant/dumb must your brother be to talk on a phone while driving(I assume, without the helmet)? Don’t you think innocent bystanders are at risk of getting hit because of the stupidity of your brother?Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, that awesome logic ‘Why am I the only one getting caught whereas not others?’ to the traffic police. Oh I don’t know, at least others were endangering their own lives without helmets while you are endangering everyone on the road by your stupidity?
Teach your brother some basic manners while driving. And to answer your question, no this number plate pics are commonly taken in the city limits and will not be used to assign fake cases to even people like your brother. Let’s hope this idiot doesn’t crash into someone else by being on the phone again.

February 2, 2025 at 5:20 pmHi, thank you for clearing it. And no, he was wearing a helmet. He was not on a call but just listening to music and lip syncing to it. Music was within limit as well.

February 2, 2025 at 5:05 pmYou seem to be stressed. Your brother seems to be an entitled one. Pass on this stress to him and you relax. Your brother argued with the police when he was at fault putting pedestrians at risk. Shouldn’t this be concerning to you?-

And I am concerned about his well being as well as pedestrians as well.
