January 11, 2025 at 9:16 amI was shifting and I had to sent a package with some of my clothes from Bangalore to my home town in Kerala. I used Porterβs all india service and they picked up the next day. Just after giving the order to my agent I realised the consignee phone number I gave in the app was incorrect.
I immediately called their customer service team on 29th November 2024 and provided the correct number. They assured me that the contact number would be updated and my package would be delivered properly.Despite this assurance, the delivery status in the app showed βconsignee refused order.β Upon contacting the consignee (my relative), they informed me they had not received any calls or attempts to deliver the package.
I contacted the customer service again to highlight the issue and was told that the wrong number was still used. They assured me that the correct number would be updated, and I even received a confirmation call.
After 2 days, they informed me that they cannot ensure delivery to the consignee, and my package is being sent back to the return address, and cannot provide a refund for the undelivered package as they had already attempted delivery 3 times.
They told me that the package would be delivered in 15 days from the return date and now it has already been 30+ days and every time I call them they keep asking for 24-48 hours. They are connecting with their delivery partner and all that stuff.
I am not sure if I should file a complaint on this or what the process is.

January 11, 2025 at 8:37 pmYou can get a legal notice issued over email and via postal service firstly mostly cases like this get resolved after a legal notice but if they continue to behave the way they are behaving then consumer complaint
