UMy passport has been received by the post office but they are not giving it to me . The reason being that the address that I have given in the passport is that of my old house which we have sold .we are currently staying in a rental house ,but my Aadhar card ,pan card etc all point to the old address and ,the police verification was also conducted in the rental house itself but they knew us and forwarded my passport application . Today, when the passport reached the p o ,they are telling they can’t do window delivery and the postman has to deliver the passport to the address in the passport which currently is not there. But all my credentials point to this address and I even showed them all the proof and also , the panchayat president vouched for us but still they are not giving us the passport . I think there is some personal grudge involved. Is there anything I can do in this situation ? Please help ?I really need the passport urgently and don’t want them to return the passport if then , I need to do the verification process again .

RJust pay that guy man and move in life. had those rules and regulations being followed, India would be a much better place.

UBelieve me I had similar issues. Applied for my wifes passport using father in laws address and during verification some a*** informed that my wife is living in another city. Passport sent back were fined Rs.5000 for providing wrong address. We then applied fresh passport from current address. Talk to him be nice try to get it. If its small village at times they budge to village elders try that way.
