Pre arrest bail for bailable offense

As i understand, if there’s an FIR in someone’s name for a congnizable bailable offense, they can be arrested without a warrant.

In such cases, is it possible to apply for a pre arrest bail?

If it’s a bailable offence then you don’t need a pre arrest bail. The police officer will give the bail directly.

But is it possible to get a pre arrest bail to avoid dealing with crooked cops?

Court won’t entertain ABA for bailable offence. Mostly it won’t reach the court if your advocate is even half smart.

Police can’t arrest you for bailable offence. They can only arrest you for non-bailable offence.

Btw, it’s a judge / magistrate that grants the bail. Not the police. Right ?

Only for non-bailable offence.
