April 14, 2025 at 2:47 amHave an interesting case I’m looking to pursue… come from a prominent family in a northern state. My grandmother and father have distributed falsified wills of my grandfather to purposefully exclude me and my siblings from any inheritance – there are witnesses that know he didn’t create one. She has a history of doing this, along with committing fraud (have evidence of one case), sexual and physical abuse of family members, including contributing to the death of one recently again with a fake will to take the money and property… She is extremely dangerous and abusive, and well connected – everyone fears her in the town.. I’m an NRI, want to pursue a case to get the family property I am legally entitled to. Know this is a very common and unfortunate situation in India – how much is it worth pursuing? Can you hire attorneys outside of your home state or main city or put the case in a different state? Where do you even start with searching for an attorney? Thanks. -
