PSBB school Chennai asking 35,000 to issue kid’s TC (Transfer Certificate)

Due to personal emergency, we have to move cities — and approached school to issue TC — the academic year ends on Apr end this month.

When approached the school principal for TC — she is adamant that we have to pay the next year term fees of TC to be issued & keeps quoting some school policy — and some circular where they got parents to sign

This seems ridiculous why pay for the term of the year when the kid is not even gonna be part of the school.

Isn’t this extortion, what can we do to expedite this asap

Please advise

ps: we are in middle of family emergency, and have little mental bandwith to deal with any other troubles or delays

Just get the latest mark sheets and move. You don’t need a TC nowadays.
