I (23F) am 6 weeks pregnant . I have undergone an USG for early pregnancy .

I have shown my aadhar card to the clinic while doing the test . But the clinic is asking for father’s aadhar card before giving out the result . Is it mandatory to show father’s aadhar card ? If no, then what can I do in this scenario ?

I think this has something to do with gender determination

Nope. .. It has everything to do with moral policing. I am 8 months pregnant.. Had undergone 4 USGs so far.. Went alone on all of them.. never was I ever asked for husband’s adhar card..

In that case it shouldn’t be mandatory at all to show father’s aadhar, why do they care who’s baby it is you’re the one carrying it deny and ask them politely to hand it over if they refuse call the cops on them.

It’s not required. Ask them to either give the report or your money back… Halla machao.. they will chose one option.

Yes. and even if there was a regulation they should have asked before the carried out the test. Complain to the district medical board if you think its worth the hassle

With USG or any test or decision to keep the baby. There is no requirement for father id or involvement.

Did you just go to the clinic for USG or its doctor’s prescription?
Go to any reputed hospital and visit a Gynecologist. They will prescribe whatever test needed. No id or anything required.

No they don’t. That’s very unusual and you don’t have to comply.
