Rapido Bike Accident

A car hit the rapido bike i took on 18th jan and he fled the location after giving us a wrong phone number. The scooty fell on my leg, my ankle dislocated and my leg was fractured. Strangers came to help me but i was in deep pain so i asked the driver to drop me home. I went to the hospital from there and got to know the injuries.
Now, I was initially suggest get a surgery for the fracture but then another senior doctor said putting cast on will cure it but I should be on a complete bed rest, for 6 weeks. That being said, I can’t even use the restroom or move an inch.
But there’s more at stake. My sister’s wedding is happening next month and I’ll be bedridden, and I also had plans of going back to the UK and now that’s delayed too.

How could I go about this situation and present a strong case?

Of the car that hit me? No I don’t. Because i was on the road and couldn’t get up. But the accident happened near a reliance petrol bunk and I’m sure there should be a cctv footage

Get it and how did u get the phone number but not the registration number/photo of the dude

For its my reflex to just head for my phone and start recording

My phone and things fell off on the road. I couldn’t get up until people took the bike off of me. They fled the location in the meantime. No one stopped them. I wasn’t even able to get up.

Also, it was the rapido driver who took the phone number. I wasn’t in a position to think or act

Aaah in shock i guess btw not blaming you for being injured and dazed just saying it’s usually so that people won’t let the drivers go till the one on the floor is headed to the hospital

Did you report/contact Rapido?

Incase of accidents for third party insurance claims (damage to vehicle/person) there is 72hr(i might be wrong) window for raising the claim. You should get the medical report and file a claim if the opposing party has valid third party insurance.

I’ve contacted rapido and filed a claim. They’re probably covering my medical expenses. Reporting to the police. Took a little time because I’m just recovering from the excruciating pain.
