April 3, 2025 at 5:40 amI left my headphones in a rapido cab the other day, reached out to Rapido, they gave me his number, I called him and he promised to return headphones. Next time he’s in my area. But for the last two days, he’s been completely unresponsive and I tried calling from another number and he actually picked up but then stopped responding after he heard my voice. What can I do? I have his number and whatever name he uses on Truecaller. The headphones were worth 12k when I bought them, which is why I’m trying to recover them. -

April 3, 2025 at 5:51 amDepends on the cop, but if you just go to the police station and ask for help, don’t think anyone will refuse it. Please don’t approach a random cop on the road as he won’t help you for free.-

April 6, 2025 at 11:11 amSo I went to the police station to file a case, but when the cop called him, he picked up and promised to return it this afternoon. And of course he didn’t show up, in fact, he said he was in his hometown some two hours away, so I guess he never even PLANNED to show up. We went to the police station again to file the case, but again he picked up when the police called him and promised to return the headphones in the morning. We are going to go to the police station tmrw morning and filing an FIR. Up to him if he returns the headphones or not.-

April 6, 2025 at 12:08 pmHe’s putting too much at stake, for a headphone. Because once FIR is registered, settlement won’t quash it, even if he returns it. He’ll have to get it done through a quashing petition in the High Court.-

April 6, 2025 at 5:56 pmI didn’t grow up in India, so I’m unaware of this. Is this common knowledge in India? If so, damn. He’s being very stupid. It’s not even that he’s not returning it. It’s that he does not pick up calls at all making it all very sus.-
