Received broken goods

I had transported some decor goods through a DTDC regd courier from gurugram to mumbai.

More than half of the items were broken during transit. The courier is refusing to take reponsibility claiming that the items were not insured & DTDC claims the vendor is not registered with us.

How can I claim compensation for damages?

Did you register any complaint in PG portal against any consumer complaints ?

Was that successful ?

Would live to hear your experience.

My experience on PG portal was baf , PG portal did not even forward consumer complaints to company.

Forget NCH , nowadays companies does not take NCH seriously. This is because they are toothless. Company closes ticket by giving any reason.

Could you please tell what was the cagory you selected ?

I assume you chose Consumer Affairs Dept in PG portal , what is the category you chose ?

It has been 1 month , the grievance officer did not take any action, not even forwarded. Have sent reminder few times. Not sure if grievance forgot his credentials to log into PG portal…..simply no action…..just pending.

Olx is medium for second hand sellers.

If someone did fraud on Olx to you, NCH won’t work in my opinion

Olx company did the fraud. I purchased advertising package from them , they did not give the service.

File RTI requesting status of your complaint.

NCH —> company gave casual response.
PG portal —> pending with grievance officer for more than a month.

RTI —-> Response to be given 30 + days

I have done all 3 steps already.

prepare legal notice using chat gpt and send through speed post on their registered address.

I am no lawyer btw but hopefully this works
