        Hey everyone,
We recently received a notice stating that an e-challan for a parking violation has now been sent to court. The problem is, we were never notified about the challan in the first place — no SMS, no physical mail, nothing.

Now that we’ve found out, we’re ready and willing to pay the fine, but there’s no option available to pay it online. The challan doesn’t show up on the usual traffic police portals either.

Has anyone dealt with this kind of situation before? What are we supposed to do now? Should we go to court or is there a way to settle this beforehand?

        Any guidance would be appreciated!

Maybe for the vehicle you have got the e challan your old number was registered which you are not using coz e challan sent to mobile number first, then certain time periods (maybe 60 days) are allowed to settle it online.
If not settled within the stipulated time it goes to the regular physical court of that district of the challan area.
So now you have to settle it in court or the police official of your area may visit you on your reg address of the vehicle to collect the amount.
So check the number and address for the same and you can also try to settle this challan with nearby traffic personnel having a pos machine or cash if you have a challan copy.
You can reconfirm this info maybe changes are done and info shared might not be relevant in your case, so actively trying to settle this wherever possible options and don’t let it delay or linger on it further.

Can I request online that some police official comes and collects it? The court assigned is 20km from where I live.
And the registered number is the same. I received the court notice on the same number but didn’t get the message for e challan

I don’t think that your request will be honoured as no official will come to your home for collecting fine on your request w/o court orders.(You can try don’t know about this)
You can visit the nearest police station and see if they can help( I don’t know, it’s your wish).
