March 5, 2025 at 4:02 pmThere is a complaint regarding SAL Hospital & Medical Institute. My father had kidney stones and was operated on using the PM-JAY card. Doctor promised that all kidney stones would be removed during the operation. However, after the surgery, he informed us after three days that some critical kidney stones were not removed. My father has been using a urinary catheter for two months, suffering from constant pain and crying every day. Due to the catheter, he has developed prostate swelling and is facing difficulty passing urine. We are struggling financially as well.
Today, when my father and mother visited the hospital regarding this issue, Dr. Neel Shah got angry and denied performing the prostate surgery. It seems that he or the hospital might have consumed the entire ₹5 lakh PM-JAY card amount without completing the necessary treatments.
Where should I complain?

March 5, 2025 at 5:15 pmYou have the following options:1. Raise a complaint with PM-JAY – Call 14555 or file an online complaint at https://cgrms.pmjay.gov.in/GRMS. Make sure to include all details about the surgery, the doctor, and your father’s current condition.
2. Contact the State Health Agency (SHA) – Each state has a body managing PM-JAY. You can find contact details on the PM-JAY website. They have the authority to investigate hospital malpractice.
3. Visit the District Health Office (CMO) – Go to the Chief Medical Officer’s office in your district and submit a written complaint. They oversee hospitals and can intervene in such cases.
4. Expose them on social media – Tag @AyushmanNHA on Twitter/X and explain your case. Public pressure sometimes speeds things up.
5. Consumer Court & RTI – If they’ve misused the ₹5 lakh, you can file a Right to Information (RTI) request to check how the funds were used. If they’ve exhausted it without proper treatment, a consumer court case is an option.
If the doctor/hospital is refusing treatment and your father is still suffering, don’t let them get away with it. Keep pushing until someone listens.
