April 28, 2025 at 9:36 amMy fiancé and I are going through the route of court marriage. Both of us live in Hyderabad and have an intercultural relationship (same religion, though). We applied our intent to marry in the Telangana registration forum and got the message to visit our sub-registrar office. My questions are:A) Do we have to visit the sub-registrar office and submit the hard copies too? Or do we now have to visit the office after 30-day notice period?
B) Do we have to book a slot online or we can walk in anytime in the registrar office after the waiting period? In that case, let’s say we want to get the marriage solemnized a week after the waiting period, would that be okay? What’s the upper time limit to get the marriage solemnized after the waiting period is over.
I searched online for these answers and couldn’t find anything, please help!

April 28, 2025 at 10:48 amHey! after applying for marriage, You’ll need to visit the Sub-Registrar’s office with both your and your fiancé’s Aadhaar cards, 10th-grade marksheets, and a photo of both of you together. They’ll verify the documents and put your details on the notice board.
After 30 days, if no objections are raised, you can walk in anytime (no need for a slot) to complete the marriage registration. Just try to do it within a few weeks after the 30 days.I was a witness to a friend’s marriage last year. They, along with us, went with all the documents first, and after the 30-day notice, we all went again and they exchanged garlands in front of the Sub-Registrar(optional), signed the papers, and got their marriage certificate.
Congratulations to you both and all the best! 🍾🎉
