BHello everyone, I rented a 1.5 ton split AC last year for 11k. There wasn’t any paperworks involved. And got it renewed for this year too. I paid the full amount in February and they responded that they will get the AC serviced whenever I want.
Fast forward starting of April when the heat started to rise, I called them and asked to service the AC. The guy said okay but no one came for servicing. A week later I messaged him on WhatsApp and he said he would get it serviced that day itself, nobody came again. Followed up the next day and he said the same thing, same result no one came.
I got frustrated and asked him for a refund the next day. He promised that he will get it done by next day 1 PM. Again, no one came.
After he missed the first 2 appointments, he has blocked my calls, so I could only reach him through WhatsApp messages. Now he has started ignoring my texts too, sees them but no response. The AC doesn’t work at all, no cooling, so I can’t use it either. I have threatened him to either come, refund and take back the AC or I’ll get it uninstalled myself.
What are my options? The heat is getting unbearable and I want to purchase my own AC my 1st May. How do I get my money back? Any legal actions or informal notice I can send the guy?
