March 25, 2025 at 11:23 amI purchased a Samsung Refrigerator via Flipkart, and it turned out to be faulty from day one. After multiple technician visits (four times!), Samsung admitted the defect and agreed to process a refund. But it’s been over 40 days, and I still haven’t received my money. Every time I follow up, they either give excuses or completely ignore my messages. The person handling this, Gowri Shankar from Samsung’s service team, has been unresponsive and incompetent, constantly delaying the process without any real updates.
At this point, I’m fed up. What’s the best way to escalate this? Should I file a case with the consumer court, blast them on social media, or take legal action? Has anyone faced a similar issue with Samsung before?
I’d really appreciate any advice on the most effective way to get my money back. Thanks in advance!

March 25, 2025 at 11:36 amfile a grievance on national consumer helpline first. And if you contact customer service ask them to escalate the case to a higher level. I had a display defect issue, I got a pretty decent discount (had used the device for 2 ish years), it did almost take a month, but they eventually sorted it.I had also mailed the service head, the ceo and tweeted about it. Their customer service sucks, please be assertive and don’t let this go. try all possible ways, if nothing works, I think consumer court might be the only way out of this

March 25, 2025 at 12:02 pmThe simplest and most effective way, provided you had paid with a credit card is to initiate a chargeback with your bank submitting the entire communication trail, Samsung’s acceptance of defective product and agreeing to a refund. If not paid with a credit card then unfortunately you will have to approach the consumer court.

March 25, 2025 at 12:13 pmlol, congrats on falling into the Samsung Trap.
Bought a laptop worth 1.8 Lakh Rupees from them almost a year and a half ago and it took them about 6 months to give me the refund DD post agreeing that there was a manufacturing defect and they would initiate a refund.Hundreds of calls, hundreds of emails, several tweets is what it took.
