  I have vacated a 2 bhk flat recently along with my flatmate friend. The owner was very happy with us throughout the year. He came thrice to meet us and impressed. But he cut 20k from our deposit saying we kept the home in shady state and ruined the paint. He actually didn’t gave us a painted home and his walls are dampening; resulting in walls getting spoiled slowly. He blamed it on us and cut 20k rupees. Now I am calling him and he has blocked me. Is there anything which can be done?

  Ya deducting security deposits adds to their free income. Reasons no bar, attributable to whoever! Do you have pictures of the condition in which the house was handed over to you and the condition in which you gave it back? I’m a lawyer, so glad to discuss the same.
