Self Drive Car rental misplaced my Original Driving License

I booked a local Self Drive car rental after reviewing google their google reviews, all went well till I returned the car. The guy who runs the business said he misplaced the DL somewhere and will courier it once he gets it. Now one day later, he said he found it back, but delaying sending the courier. I lost hope he’ll courier, if I want to collect personally I need to travel back atleast 600 kms. Is there a way out?

By how many days has been delayed? Did he tell you about the found license by text ? Do you have any evidence that he said he found your license or related evidence? If the delay is too much, ask him to send one more time, and tell him if he can’t send it ASAP , you have to apply for a duplicate and for that you have to lodge a police complaint. Tell him in a non threatening manner but he should get the message.

Then tell him to send ASAP by date x , or you have no choice to file a complaint.
