Self-representing in Employment Tribunal vs BBC – Need guidance

Location: New Delhi.
Hi all,
I’m currently self-representing in an Employment Tribunal case against the BBC and would really appreciate any advice from those who’ve been through this process.

My claim involves racism for being Indian, homophobia, unfair dismissal, breach of contract, retaliation, which led me to leave England, and issues around Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. I’ve submitted my ET1, and I’m now preparing for the next steps—organising evidence, drafting my witness statement, and preparing for the hearing.

I’d love input on:

* Best practices for preparing a bundle and witness statement
* How to handle cross-examination (as a claimant and for questioning their witnesses)
* Tips for negotiating a settlement or understanding when to push forward
* Any resources or support groups for self-represented claimants

Also, any experiences (especially against large employers like the BBC) – also, if anyone can drop in contacts or any pro bono lawyers who know UK laws, would be super helpful.

lol. BBC is the most anti-indian press after jalzeera and you worked for them. And now you are blaming them for racism for being Indian in England(that is synonym of pakistan). Any person who worked for or works in BBC is automatically anti-Indian. All this year you helped BBC to attack India and Indian diaspora and now when they kick you out, you are suing them.

It is like jews suing nazis, blacks suing kkk, lakha suing captain andrew russell. Sorry, but I can’t stop myself from laughing.

Interesting how you’d come up with so many conjectures. I worked for them only last year and for the regional team. At least, this made you laugh. I’m glad! 🙂

First, do not self represent, Hire a good lawyer. The best option is still to leave them alone, suing is waste of money. BBC has a lot of power and like India, England law system is also very corrupt.

Second, Suing your employer will diminish your career. Nobody will hire you, as they will be afraid that you will also sue them.
