Ok so it’s not like I have a bad name, it’s just an uncommon one. My name is Suyash. People often misinterpret it on the first time. I’m already 21 pursuing bsc so is it worth changing my name or I should go by some easier nickname such as Yash/Ansh when among my friends

Nobody cares. You will be accepted regardless. Don’t worry too much.
I have another friend named Suyash. Nice guy. No one cared that his name was different. Just be a good human being

What perspective? You are not a victim of anything. Suyash is a good enough name. Stop obsessing over it and focus on the more important things in life.

Dude why change it. We share such a unique name which is an automatic conversation starter while meeting new people. I understand why you’d want to change it, I’ve had the same thoughts in my childhood but anymore once I started understanding how cool it is

Oh is it? I live in delhi and it’s not so common here. For instance I’ve only met 2 people who share the same name. It’s not that I dislike it, it’s just pretty awkward to tell it to new people since they haven’t heard it much

I think it’s a nice name. Don’t change it. Even my name is uncommon and people often make mistakes when reading it but once I correct them almost everyone says I have a lovely name.

I tried pronouncing your name 10 times and not once I was able to pronounce it anything than Suyash. Maybe you need to give a very small pause between Su-yash. That might help out with the other person’s understanding.

Op you are already in college, you will need to change it in X and +2 marksheet as well and also on your college portal, not worth it, it is better to use a different name among your friends, Abhinav becomes Abhi etc

Also if i am not wrong then you can only change your name once or twice in adhaar card so it is not worth it
