January 24, 2025 at 12:17 pmBack in Feb 2024 I applied for a two wheeler loan from NBFC executive made us sign blank agreement documents and promised us that she would send a copy, but never received one in October even after frequent requests.. We closed the loan and escalated the issue and got a copy of the loan document on reviewing the loan document, we found that the signatures on certain pages were not ours and the executive had forged it. When asked the bank, they told to file a case and do whatever possible.I took up this issue with RBI ombudsman, and itβs still pending.
I consulted an advocate and he told me that this is a civil case and not criminal, is it true filing a police complaint will be of no help.
Can anyone advise on what can be done?

January 24, 2025 at 12:24 pmWow.
It is 2024 and we are signing blank documents given by NBFC folks, are we?Might as well transfer all your assets to strangers while you are at it.

January 24, 2025 at 12:49 pmTrue, we had signed an agreement of 10 pages but when we got a copy of the agreement there were 15 pages and the signature on those 5 pages were forged, certain conditions added.-

January 27, 2025 at 1:57 pmThis is not just a civil case. You can take action under criminal law for cheating, criminal breach of trust, and forgery. You should contact a good lawyer.
