A resident of other state -> Goes to Goa for Wedding -> Stays there for some Time -> Gets the Prenup Signed -> Comes back having a Legally Recognized Prenup

        How far is it Possible?

What Best can be Done for safety?

        The Suggestion:
“There’s a loophole, it’s legal only in Goa…so you can get married in Goa stay there for a few days(how many exactly would be better specified by a lawyer) and you would have a valid prenuptial agreement. The reason for this is Goa has held on to the old Portuguese settlement laws and prenup was a part of those laws that weren’t scrapped.”

You would need a residence certificate (15 years domicile i think), how long do you plan on staying?

Not asking for myself. This suggestion was given to a Groom who was worried about Prenups not being Legal in India & wanted to ensure his Safety.

Yes and no , on one hand yes you can do a prenup in goa on the other hand whether it holds or not depends on where you and your wife are staying at the time of divorce. If it’s outside of Goa then that prenup doesn’t hold any value. Also, if your wife files for divorce in a court outside Goa (which she definitely will) then also no use of the prenup.
