January 23, 2025 at 9:56 amI am working in tech company , they said they will provide 6 months of training and 24 months of employment, but the hours I am working are long and it’s been only 1 month , can I break bond ? It’s written that if I break bond I will have to pay 1,50,000 rs . What should I do ? Please help -

January 23, 2025 at 10:17 amEmployee bonds are legal in India under very specific conditions and cannot be so unreasonable/one sided to impose arbitrary penalties. They can at best only recover training costs from you and there is a good chance that the bond is a scare tactic to discourage resignations and won’t be enforced given the high litigation costs associated with getting a favourable court order for the company. You should consult a labour counsel and resign if you think you won’t be able to put up with the hours/work conditions for 3 more years.-

January 23, 2025 at 12:28 pmYou can file a police complaint for extortion if they try to hold on to your degree or certificates for leaving the job. That is patently illegal.
