My grandmother had a Fd with my father as nominee. Last year my grandmother and father died. My grandfather is still alive. Do we need succession Certificate for him.and will my father’s sisters signature would be needed to get full succession for the fd

Are you able to access that FD from netbanking or bank’s mobile app? If yes, just try to close it.

No don’t have netbanking or bank’s mobile app

Try to register for netbanking or bank’s mobile app using registered mobile number? Just close that FD & transfer funds.

Otherwise, I think bank will require lots of paperwork – not just succession certificate.

Actually the bank account is closed because of no payments
