UI had a tenant family husband, wife with child, who had recently rented, but later we came to know that they were not married as they had claimed earlier. So, we had to ask them to vacate the premise.
How as house owner, I can ensure that such frauds do not get flats in my house in future.
Kindly suggest here.

Vacating a couple just because they are not married? How are they the same as someone who does crime or does not respect the property.

UI am not against unmarried couples, but against the lies said before, unmarried couples can stay but someone who have lied before entering the house, how can they be trustworthy.

AThey lie because people don’t want to rent to unmarried couples. The lies are the product of the society and I would classify it as a harmless lie. Similar to non veg people classifies themselves as veg only people.
If they have not committed the crime, respected the property, paid the rent on time then why should it bother you.

UIts fine as long as they respected the property, and had not committed any crime, but in this case, their family had complained against them and police was involved later on. Thats why seeking suggestions for such cases.

UIf they had said truth, most probably you wont have given them your flat. They lied because of landlords who wont let them stay because they are not married. And you didn’t help the cause, you joined the bad landlords bandwagon by pushing them out. Sad!

UYou seem like a nosey uncle. What’s so troubling if they’re paying the rent on time and keeping to themselves. Hope they find a better landlord.
