Timeline of continuing cause of action- medical negligence

I went through a dental treatment in 2017. The dentist without taking my consent shaved my teeth and I intend to take a legal action against her. The reason I couldn’t do it earlier because of moving overseas and also went through personal loss during covid.

My question is if I plan to file continuing injury what is the timeline of it? Also dentist claims she doesn’t have any record of mine at all. Does she require to show the record if my case qualifies the criteria of continuing cause of action/ injury?

It will be difficult to justify such a long delay despite continuing cause of action.

Yes she will have to come clean and furnish all records.

There is a limitation period for filing the case and it has passed as it’s only for 3 years
