[TN] Neighbor blocking to fence old property. Need advice on next steps

Hi,

I had an old property in a rural village, which was damaged due to rain and I wanted to demonish and fence them.

I went ahead with resurvey officially, sending notices and marking the boundaries. Even asked the neighbor if they want to demonish as well.

I went ahead and demolished and while fencing, the neighbor went rucksuks and started breaking the fencing we had put.

Note: there is a common wall, that’s why we asked them to do it together. We left the common wall during demolishing anyway.

What are the next steps I should be doing to finish the fencing and continue with any construction work on my property?

Get all your documents Especially Updated Patta and FMB and copies of the same.

Apply for resurvey in Tamilnilam.

Get hold of Tasildar, say your story. Say that you’ll escalate it to Collector.

They’ll try to correct it within a month.

In the meantime, get a lawyer and review your existing documents.

Also continue construction, if the neighbors interfere again, file a police complaint too.

Record everything too.

Issue will be solved either by Tasildar (faster) or Court (slow).

Yeah. Those seems to be the option. They want to go via court most probably.
