Unwilling to refund my amount

Two days ago I purchased a washing machine drain pipe from a store next to my place for 210 rs. I took it home, installed it a and after a while it leaked and my hall was filled with water. After inspection I found out that the pipe was damaged. I took it back and told the shopkeeper that they gave me a damaged pipe and asked for a replacement but they didn’t have one so they gave me a shorter pipe and asked me to see if it fits. If it doesn’t bring it back and we’ll get you an new one tomorrow. Just don’t unpack it. This is at 9:30 or 9 pm. The next they I went there said that it’s short and I won’t be able to use it and I asked for the longer one. But they didn’t have it. So I asked for a refund for which they declined. They said that they can’t refund and I have to buy something else from the shop. I don’t need anything else. And the owner took my number and told me they will send it back . This happened yesterday night.

They haven’t sent the amount till now and are refusing to answer my calls and texts.

What can I do?

Go to the shop during busy hours and argue. Better to take some oldern women with you. They may try to cheapshame you .

All this drama for Rs 200. They tried to help you out. Just leave it or get something else from them like a screwdriver.

You are hilariously silly, are you expecting a legal solution?
Preserve invoice of 210, file a case on consumer forum for small claim, negotiate with help of forum if shop bothers to remain present, shop owner doesn’t have friends in local police then such case will have outcome in few months.

I wasn’t gonna take action anyway. I Just wanted to know the legal action i can take in such kinda situation. Anyway thanks for the advice.

I went to the store and talked to the owner and bought something else that I needed.
