URGENT AADHAR ADVICE NEEDED!!!

My father tweaked my dob in birth certificate and made it 2007, real is 2005. Every documents including school and pan card has 2005. Only birth certificate has 2007. I made a mistake that I enrolled for aadhar using the mentioned birth certificate, now my aadhar has 2007. I had already requested for a dob update using 10th certificate on July 2024. But it still hasn’t updated, I called helpline they said it got rejected due to technical glitch. So is it possible to update my dob to make it 2005 on aadhar using the 10th certificate given that they have the 2007 birth certificate I used while enrolling for aadhar. I am joining college this year so needed aadhar to make bank account

my friend had similar problem (some spelling of name ) but it was a hassle to do online ..i told her to go to nearest aadhar center and do it that way which was more reliable … it took long time but finally it was done . now for speedy process, many go through agents which make the process quick and easy but one has to spend some money and make sure that the agents r reputable .

DOB change on Aadhar is risky and I think you can change it only once.

DOB change on birth certificate is possible and easy. Hire local lawyer in your birth city and there will be one hearing and court will issue order to municipality to issue fresh birth certificate with updated birth year

Source – I changed my birth date on birth certificate (not year) when I was 20 years old

You need a signed letter from a high-ranking government official, such as a commissioner, as proof. Once you obtain this letter, go to the Aadhaar center and submit it. They will ask for proof; submit the letter, and they will make the change. It will cost ₹50 to change information in Aadhaar. Go to an Aadhaar center and ask for a form; they will give you one and you can get it signed by a government official. I had connections, so it was easy and quick for me; otherwise, you might have to wait a little longer for the signature, but I am pretty sure they will not take any money.

Same thing happened to me, for second time correction in DOB you will need birth certificate. In your case you having 2007 birth certificate, you need to first get the birth certificate cancel letter and share with them online.

I never updated my dob before though, it’s my first time and it’s stuck in validation stage since July 2024, however I called yesterday helpline, they said it got rejected due to technical issue

Can you please share how do I get my birth certificate cancelled

I heard that, now UIDAI accepts only Birth certificate and passport as a date of birth proof.

You may consult a lawyer ,on how to correct your existing birth certificate.

Your bank in which you have an account, ask the bank manager to write according to a format which will be given at aadhar kendra . It works equivalent to an affidavit . All the best
