        My boss is asking me to pay back 3 months salary due to negligence in a particular work. I checked the logs and I did this work for only 2 months, he has deliberately deleted the version history. He has added a new target for accuracy which he did not mention during the previous month. He is not letting me leave without this, and didn’t pay me for this month either. The two months were Dec-Jan. He is asking for updates every day.

          No employer has the right to withhold salary or demand a refund of wages already paid, especially when there is no misconduct established through due process. Changing targets retroactively and deleting version history could amount to falsification of records. Preventing you from resigning or leaving without meeting unlawful conditions is also illegal.

            Yse advocate file a case labor laws don’t allow it

              Send a legal notice to them that since they havent paid the salary, you are no longer obligated to hold your end of bargain. Show him the middle finger and walk away

                They cannot do it. If there was negligence, there should have been measures to identify, measure and control the same. You can proceed legally.
