Urgent legal advice needed from you guys

So I was working at a ca firm for the past 2 months offer letter stated if I want to terminate the contract I must service 2 months of notice period or salary in lieu thereof but I have not signed the offer letter, received 2 months of salary,the work environment was toxic so I am leaving immediately without serving any thing,my employer is threatening legal consequences against me,can he take legal action against me or what can I do in this situation.please help.
Should I send a resignation email or not.
