PI need help and advice. I was on a call with my ex late at night — it was my birthday, and after ignoring me all day, he finally called. But suddenly, his brother took over the phone, and things went from bad to terrifying.
His brother started screaming, verbally abusing me, and threatening me. He said he’d kill me, called me names, and when I told him I’d go to the police, he laughed and said the police wouldn’t do anything to him.
This has shaken me to my core. I haven’t done anything wrong. Infact his brother has lied about his family and many personal details I don’t feel safe. No one deserves to be threatened like this — not after a breakup, not ever. I have messages and context if needed. I’m planning to file a police complaint, but I’m also scared because of the way they spoke — like they’re invincible.
I don’t know what the right step is. Has anyone dealt with something like this? How do I protect myself legally and emotionally?
Any advice or support would mean a lot

SYuh you’re good it’s just this male rage thing which we do when we don’t get what we want. He’s probably freaking out as well rn that you’d follow up with the threat and actually file a complaint.
You should definitely file the report tho! That way you’ll gain experience on how to involve law and authority to your day to day struggles which in turn will make you more confident about using it the next time it happens again which definitely will happen again. And all strong masculine man turn into bheegi billi after one FIR
