May 7, 2025 at 8:26 amI am from a village in bihar. Around 2 years ago villagers decided to connect with the nearest village with a proper road. We have a land in that area. So we have to provide land for the road. It was decided both land owners adjacent to the road will provide half for the road. But land owners opposite us didn’t want to give their share. They want us to give land for the full road. They are claiming we haven’t given anything. The area we left for the road belongs to them not us. We even called three different amins but they are refusing to accept the results and saying they will themselves call amin. The amin they called did mapi according to their needs and showed that we haven’t left anything for the road. In reality we have left more than what was needed for the road. And we had already built a wall after leaving our share for the road. They want us to break the wall and provide all the area for the road.
The panchayat and the villagers are in their support because they are somewhat powerful in the village. So the panch, the villagers and people from the nearby villages are pressing my father to give the whole for the road. We don’t live in the village, we have a small garage in the city. Leaving it to the workers for even 3-4 weeks cause us losses. Last year my father stayed in the village for around 4 months, because of which we suffered great losses. Because my father can’t make time for this, he has reluctantly agreed to break the wall and provide for the whole road. But I don’t want to do that. What should I do?P.S : I recently moved to delhi insearch of jobs. I don’t know what should I do? Should I leave delhi and return to the village or should I focus on my career?

May 7, 2025 at 8:32 amProbably only people from Bihar can give an advise on how to deal with these. Sama, Dana, Bheda, Denda are the four methods available as per Kautilya. -

May 7, 2025 at 8:44 amDont go to the village. Let them do what they want. If they break the wall you can allege destruction of private property and trespass. You can ask for resurvey to reclaim land.

May 7, 2025 at 8:55 amSee give an application to Your CO asking him for napi according to sarkaari amin. He will give you a certified copy of napi. There’s no point calling personal amin. -
