May 4, 2025 at 1:25 pmHi, I was put on standby by Virgin for my international flight from Bangalore to London without any prior notice despite checking in 15 hrs prior to the departure. I also reached the airport a good 2.5 hrs before the departure. The staff was rude, hostile, and arrogant who provided no assistance, and instead made it seem like they were doing me a favour β leading to a public breakdown which was witnessed by officials, and passengers, including my immigration officer. I am guessing itβs captured in cctv as well. I did board the flight, but they made me wait for long hours before assigning a seat. I have all the time stamps etc from web check in to boarding pass to seat assigning. As a solo woman traveller at 3 am in the morning, I am definitely going to follow up on this as it caused me severe emotional distress and jeopardised my safety. I am wondering if anyone knows what rules/ regulations/ causes I can cite for my complaints in India? And any advice on which authorities I should report to? -
