Ulong story short, crazy uncle property hungry takes my mom and aunts to court, grandma lives with us now cause it was dangerous for her to live with him, he talks shit and spreads lies about us everywhere, calls and gives my mom and aunts death threats. yesterday my aunt who lives near him went to church for something and this dude (he got a stroke in 2020 so he’s with a stick) hit my aunt hard with the stick infront of everyone and tried to hit her more over nothing. then he starts to talk about how he’s gonna kill my aunt and her husband. how can we get a restraining order against him, and will it be useful and actually protect us? he’s crazy, he probably has hunting guns at home and he won’t hesitate to use them, he’s said so himself. what can we do to prevent him from fucking killing us?

EYou need a lawyer to get restraining order from court. Gather proofs of him being danger to your family, like previous FIRs and death threats if possible.

Uthe only proof we probably have is him hitting my aunt in the church (cctv footage) but we don’t have any other proof like recording of the calls so we’re confused on what to do now. do we just wait for him to do more things and gather evidence?

EFirst of all you need to file an FIR against him under which you’ll mention that he hit your aunt and give threats over calls and even personally. Later when you’ll be presented in front of the jury/judge, you can request a restraining order mentioning you don’t feel safe with him
