Want to start a social media marketing agency as a self-propreitorship firm. Need help from the experts here

Basically what the title says. I have enough experience working in agencies also have a few clients ready. I want it to be a self properitorship because for the first year atleast I don’t want to have any employees, any editing work will be outsourced to freelancers. But i do want to put myself as an employee and make sure I pay myself a fixed salary so that I have proof of official work experience. I am researching and reading about the same as I don’t know much yet.

Need help on how to start and what all I will need to do in terms of registration, paperwork, documentation, legalities, GST, etc. Any advice or tips are highly appreciated. Currently gathering all insights and hoping to proceed accordingly.

Lawyer here. My only tip is, just start and don’t worry about the paperwork. See if the idea is thriving. Don’t worry about the gst registration until you hit 20L turnover per annum

So the reason why I need documentation is that I want to do an MBA someday and on paper this will be considered a gap unless I can submit proof of company and GST I guess. Otherwise I wouldn’t worry
