Was I Overcharged at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra?

I went to an Aadhaar Seva Kendra to link my Aadhaar with my mobile number. She charged me ₹150, but the receipt mentioned only ₹100. Is there any rule for this extra ₹50?

Mai gadha didn’t check the receipt there and realized it only after reaching home. Corruption is wrong no matter who it affects, but seeing so many poor people there made me wonder if they’re being overcharged too, how unfair is that ?

I called 1947, but they just sent a link that doesn’t even have a proper complaint option. How is anyone supposed to take action ?

Was I overcharged? What can I do? Any advice would help.

Raise a complaint. They will ask for proof that you paid 150.

Just go again and ask. Usually it is 50 rs for one change but for demographic change it is 100? I am not sure though.

I did my Aadhar update at Indusind Bank a few days back, they charged ₹100 which was as per the printed rate on the update sheet…for photo biometrics and number update. But accepting money only in cash, that too before getting the service done wasn’t expected tbh!

Don’t criticise yourself too much. Just be careful next time. The stress ain’t worth for 50 rs. Just be more alert next time , and even if happen again , learn to let go a little. Otherwise it get very difficult to live in this country as corruption and scam is almost everywhere and hyper alertness will only strain our own peace. Do raise voice when you notice it but keep balance between that and your inner peace.

6 Years Back Paid 100rs When Price Was 50rs , Now Adhar Kendra At Banks Are Not Over Charging
