January 14, 2025 at 12:03 pmIf person gets bail in a serious case and after getting bail that person isn’t able to afford their lawyer and isn’t able to attend hearing anymore? What will happen? Will he be sent to jail? What will be the typical fees of a mid level lawyer practicing in high court for cbi cases? I know it depends but are they affordable for people who are going to get retired in some time?

January 14, 2025 at 12:17 pmWhat heβs trying to say is if you cannot afford advocate youβll get a govt advocate to represent you. You just have to tell the court that you need one. You can also go to legal aid cell and get more info. Also lawyer fees depends on nature of your case and if taken all at once or as per hearing the charges may vary. -

January 14, 2025 at 1:02 pmIf you are unable to afford a lawyer, then one will appointed by the Court. But you should appear before the Court and tell them you are unable to afford one. Alternatively, you can approach the relevant High Court’s Legal Services Authority. They will give you free legal advice and free representation before a Court of Law.It is your legal right to appear before a Court of Law through an Advocate.
The fee of a “mid level” lawyer will depend on that “mid level” lawyer and the High Court he practices at. In States like Delhi and Bombay, even a lawyer with mid level experience can charge anywhere from 7-20k per appearance. It all depends on the practitioner.
