CI’m talking about a highway in Tamilnadu. Nagapattinam-Thanjavur highway which is newly built like a year ago.
There is an junction with another statehighway which is Kumbakonam to Mannargudi, they both meet near Needamangalam and there were few accidents due to stupid drivers and no implementation of yield/stop at all.
To stop that, the authorities added 3 speedbreakers right next to each other. They are big in size and you can not approach it with any vehicle at all. Instead of solving the problem, it created a new problem. To avoid these huge speed bumps, almost all vehicles take the opposite lane which has only 1 speedbraker and merge with the highway from unexpected/wrong side.
This is a simple problem that could’ve been solved with little sensibility and couple of barricades placed at right places but someone though it is smart to put 3 big consecutive speedbrakers is a sensible idea.
It really boils my blood crossing that 3 speed brakers every time and scrape my car, some cars don’t even able to climb on those and just reverse and go back into the opposite lane.
Can you please suggest me where I can complain about this and get those speed breakers removed? I’m ready to pester the right department with registered letter complaints and follow up with RTI to make them work.
