February 28, 2025 at 10:33 amI updated my biometric and address on aadhar card from Post office the supporting document for proof was my voter ID cardNow my e-aadhaar card is generated and there is mistake in my mother name(c/o in address)
The spelling of my mother’s name is correct in voter id card but idk how they printed it wrong
I already emailed and registered 3 complaint all were resolved for status sake but nothing actually changed
I even called (1947) but they said you have update it again by paying again
I mean 50โน is not big amount but still the mistake is from aadhaar authority
What to do know?…. should I just pay money and update it or complaint on some High authority if yes then where
Thankyou for response……. -

February 28, 2025 at 10:41 amUIDAI Customer support is a bunch of jokers. Unfortunately there is no clear functional grievance addressal mechanism. You have to keep trying or write to CPGRAMs portal. I once went to Mumbai Regional office and created a scene over there for a duplicate aadhaar issued to my kid. it took 1 year to resolve the situation.-

February 28, 2025 at 11:41 amWhat’s the point in taking the hassle? You can just change the address from online (just edit the part where the c/o is wrong). Just pay the 50 rupees and be done with it. -

February 28, 2025 at 12:26 pmI believe their helplines are good. Earlier, I booked a slot for aadhar updation but the center where i booked, denied to serve me during that time. They asked to follow their offline process only. Same moment, I called aadhar helpline, asked them the same. They, then called to the center and done. My slot was accepted by the center. -

February 28, 2025 at 1:18 pmThe details that you wanted to update, are typed in by the center. They use the voter ID as a proof for the changed particulars. The UIDAI does not modify any details that you enter in their website or the java application that collects biometric. If the document matches the details you entered, it updates the details in their server side. Else, it rejects the update.
This looks like a case where the center messed up. You would need to update the details again. This time, verify the details that they type, before they submit. Making sure you have a print out of the particulars before submission helps with verification.
