Will there be an issue for passport renewal if I have an FIR against me?

I have applied for my passport renewal but I have an FIR against me (accident case), till now there has been no hearing in court.
I was just asked to present myself in police station once.
Will there be any issue for renewal of my passport?
What can I do?
Do I need to declare that there’s an FIR against me during my renewal of passport appointment?

Context: the FIR is lodged on false info, I met with an accident with a person and as soon as we collided, I was unconscious. But the other guy filed a hit and run case against me.
I was in the hospital for 3 weeks with multiple fractures and complications whereas the guy just had his leg fracture and is in good health.
I have an eye witness and have given his statement at the police station.

Refusal of Renewal of passport not valid merely because an FIR has been registered and the Court has taken no cognizance.
