UNot me but my friend
16M met her 18 on insta. She said she was also 16 year old. They met after 3 weeks , went on a date and everything.After some time my friend went to college in other state.Yesterday she messaged him saying she is 4 months pregnant and he is the father and all.
He has every message from all the Conversations they had. I told him there is nothing to worry about and please tell his parents about all this mess. His family is very conservative .
Is there any way to register case against him?
Or just she is freaking him out? -

Utell him
A. legally it will fall on her if she files a case on him. He is under 18, she is not. He has proof that it was consensual.
B. He can explore his physical desires when he turns 18. At this age he wont know who is crazy and who he is actually into. anything that wants him will do.
C. Block his contact if he keeps pestering u. He fucked up. he has to own it, learn the lesson, and move on.

UAs people in the comment section have already mentioned, she might be faking it for attention and he should block her and just move on.
What alot of people fail to realise is that the guy is 16, he would be afraid and paranoid, even if hes safe.
He would think if the girl is genuinely pregnant, hes done for.
About informing an adult, it’s the best thing to do tbh, even if the parents are conservative they would at the end of the day side with their son.
A 16 year old cant just block her and move on even if shes doing it for attention, hes afraid, OP should try calm him down even though the friend is spamming him with calls. OP should tell him that both of them have to study and reassure him that he will be okay, he should also him to not call if hes not responding. -
RHE IS NOT SAFE! Although POCSO is a gender neutral law, but this particular case largely depends on who reports first to the Police. If the girl files and FIR alleging rape, the boy may be tried, and considered a “child in conflict with the law” under the Juvenile Justice act. If the boy files the complaint, the girl might be tried under POCSO. Depends on circumstances of this case, i.e. chatting, room booking, who made advances etc.
Also, DO NOT MENTION TO THE POLICE THAT SHE SAID SHE WAS 16. I cannot highlight this anymore.

UThere really shouldn’t be any case registered to your friend(if your friend is 16),but you really need to bring in an adult involved in this matter because without any case being registered on him there are other problems of the family of the female doing something if it’s true so please involve your elderly in this matter so they can be ready legally or in any other ways as you know it’s india and families don’t really takes these things in a good way so even if your friends family scolds him(hopping they don’t hit him and let it go and focus on serious issue in this matter) the girls family will not let it go easily
