I’m working on my startup full-time, bootsrapped as of now.

We are building something similar to dream11, I’m not finding enough data related to Indian rules and regulations for a startup like dream11 (ours is almost the same).

I want to understand whether ours wil be considered game os skill or game of chance.

Our app: instead of picking 11 players for a match like dream11, we will let you answer 11 yes/no questions related to the match (for ex:, will kohli score >30 runs ?)

It would be of great help if you can tell me, how things work in these scenarios.

Please don’t talk about the tax issues, I’m aware of them. I just want to know, what are the approvals/permissions I need to take to operate a startup like dream11 and whether this will be considered a game of chance or skill.

        Thanks in advance !

This is as legal as Dream11. A close friend of mine used to build online gambling apps like these and after the GST rule change they shut down that business. You might want to see if people want to deal with these now.

Opinion trading is quite different, prices change over there.
It’s similar to options trading but this isn’t.

I have worked on opinions trading products before

Have some good lawyers / tax consultants to check with. The normal understanding and the tax man’s understanding are two very different things.
