February 25, 2025 at 12:50 pmIt seems your friend’s wife wants him to divorce her, but he is refusing. Hence, the fir—there is no other way to obtain a divorce in this country when one party is unwilling to agree to a mutual consent divorce. This is my best hypothesis. If this is truly the case, ask your friend to divorce her as soon as possible.UUser_aacb96f7

February 23, 2025 at 10:22 pmWell, if someone is trying to hurt you, you may have to fight back. Don’t overthink it. It’s a good thing that they are at least happily married, so hurting you for property doesn’t make much sense. But if it comes to that, you can pursue your legal remedies.February 23, 2025 at 10:07 pm in reply to: Got Scammed by a “Friend” – Took ₹72K for Investment, Now Avoiding Me. February 23, 2025 at 10:07 pmBe honest with your family, get a part-time job to earn money and learn its value, and next time, don’t trust so quickly. For your satisfaction, register a complaint of cybercrime and keep tracking it; nothing may happen, but at least you’ll know you tried your best.UUser_aacb96f7

February 22, 2025 at 9:27 pmJust focus on your wife for now. With the way laws are in India, you might end up putting your entire family behind bars by trying to teach someone else a lesson. He apologized, and that should be good enough. Tell your wife that you support her and suggest she marries him. If he refuses, support your wife in filing a rape case under the pretext of a promise of marriage—claiming he promised to first get her a divorce and then marry her. Always take your wife’s side and keep her happy, or she could truly make your life miserable.UUser_aacb96f7

February 22, 2025 at 9:13 pmPrepare a notarized contract and obtain a single post-dated check in his name, not the company’s name. Ensure it’s just one check for the full amount, not multiple checks for smaller amounts. Give him sufficient time to make the payment, and if he fails to pay, use Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act (NIA) for the check bounce.UUser_aacb96f7

February 22, 2025 at 9:00 pmBecause everyone needs to resort to extortion. Even in a simple divorce case, they manage to drag it out for over 20 years. If someone is falsely accused in these cases, they might be willing to sell everything to save themselves. On the other hand, if they committed the crime and know they’re going to prison, why would they face trial after getting bail? They could just disappear. Nearly everyone who faces trial is either innocent or believes they can get away with it—either by pressuring the complainant or bribing their way out of it. -
