LawyerBuddy is a technology platform operated by LawyerBuddy Technologies Private Limited. It is not a law firm, a chamber of advocates, or a legal services firm of any kind. LawyerBuddy does not practise law, render legal advice, or appear before any court, tribunal, or authority.

When you engage a Counsel through the Marketplace, the advocate-client relationship is formed strictly between you and that independent advocate, who is registered with the relevant State Bar Council and the Bar Council of India. LawyerBuddy facilitates discovery, secure payment, and a private workspace — it is not your lawyer.

The Automated Legal Information Service uses large language models hosted by third-party providers (currently OpenAI). The responses, summaries, draft notices, and document reviews it generates are:

• Informational, educational, and probabilistic in nature;
• Not a substitute for advice from a licensed advocate;
• Not protected by advocate-client privilege;
• Sometimes inaccurate, outdated, or inapplicable to your specific facts;
• Not to be relied upon for filings, court appearances, contractual decisions, or anything having legal consequences, without independent verification by a licensed advocate.

By submitting a query or document to the Automated Legal Information Service, you acknowledge that the content of your submission is transmitted to a third-party language-model service provider for processing. Do not submit information you would not want transmitted to such a provider.

Counsel profiles, ratings, case-completion counts, language preferences, and eCourts track records displayed on the Platform are informational disclosures made by individual advocates consistent with the limited profile information permitted under the Bar Council of India Rules (Section IV, as amended). LawyerBuddy does not advertise on behalf of any advocate, does not guarantee outcomes, and does not solicit briefs on behalf of any advocate.

Where Counsel profiles display court track records, those records are derived from public Indian Kanoon judgment data via API. The data is provided "as is" and may contain errors or omissions. We encourage Counsel to keep their profile information accurate and to flag inaccuracies through the in-app correction form.

We make no representation that any Counsel will achieve a particular result. Legal outcomes depend on facts, applicable law, judicial discretion, and many factors outside our or any Counsel's control.

The Platform may link to external websites or services we do not own. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or actions of external services.
